In today’s social media-intensive world, how organizations and their leaders react to opportunities and threats can be just as important as the response itself – sometimes even more important. Being a spokesperson has never been tougher, even with a good story to tell. That’s why so many associations, as well as major U.S. and global companies, call on Brad to speak at conferences and conduct communications training.
A former television reporter, anchor and producer, Brad now trains spokespersons for every type of media and social media encounter. He also teaches them how to deliver winning virtual, in-person and video presentations. He has trained clients for interviews with such media as The Wall Street Journal, CNN, CNBC, ABC’s World News Tonight and Business Week, as well as scores of local and industry media outlets. He has helped executives launch new models at international auto shows, testify before Congress and tell their stories to investors. Brad also has guided clients through a wide variety of crises.
During his 15-year career as a TV reporter and anchor at network stations in Florida and Ohio, Brad appeared on CNN and ABC’s Good Morning America. He then joined a leading Midwest public relations agency where he developed the firm’s media and presentation training program. He also created the presentation coaching program for one of the nation’s largest independent media production companies.
Brad launched his practice in 1999. In 2016 he acquired Real World Media Training, a national crisis communications consulting and training firm founded by Steve Wilson, a former USA Today Chicago Bureau Chief. Wilson conducted workshops for some of the most recognizable names in the chemical, petroleum, food and healthcare industries. Brad is proud to carry on his tradition of conducting training that is educational, interesting and entertaining, using many of Steve’s crisis management principles.
Brad is among the five percent of public relations professionals accredited by the Public Relations Society of America. When he is not speaking or conducting training programs, he is in his either Los Angeles, California or Columbus, Ohio office.
